We hope that you found the sessions with your child's teacher(s) to
be informative, giving you a clear understanding of our academic
expectations for the 2011-2012 school year.

This
is the final week to order school uniforms. All orders are due by
Friday, September 30th.
Note:
Youth
sizes are 6-8, 10-12, and 14-16. ALL YOUTH SIZES RUN SMALL!!
Adult sizes are S-2XL and in some cases 3XL. All adult sizes run big!

Parent Volunteers Needed
If we can get enough parent volunteers on a daily basis
between 8:30 - 9:20 AM, then we will open the Monroe Street entrance
for easy and safe student access into the building. Please
volunteer to help us out when you can. If you are available to
assist with morning pick up please email your name, student's name,
teacher, grade, phone number and email address to
skinnerwest@gmail.com.

Skinner
West Birthday Book Club
Dedicate
a book to the Skinner West Library in honor of your child!
Honor your child's birthday by dedicating a book to our
school library. Have something else to celebrate? Books can be dedicated
to honor a student's accomplishments, a graduation, or in remembrance
of a loved one. Just contact Ms. Ranftl!
How does the Birthday Book Club work?
- If you
want to participate, complete the form that is attached here.
- Send
it with $15.00 cash or check to the library in an envelope
labeled: Ms. Ranftl-Birthday Book Club. Forms are due
10/5. If you do not receive a confirmation email by 10/7,
please email Ms. Ranftl. We don't want anyone being missed!
- The
$15 includes the price of a new hardcover book and all
processing costs.
- Your
child will choose a book from our available selection during the
month of their birthday (or ½ birthday for summer &
September birthdays). Selection will take place the 3rd
week of the month. If a child is absent on selection day,
Ms. Ranftl will have them select during their next library
period.
- A
bookplate including your child's name and birthday will be
attached to the front page of the book.
- Your
child's name will be listed on the Birthday Book Club Wall
outside the library.
- The
book will be checked out to your child first to take home and
share with your family before it is returned to share with our
school. From then on, every child who reads the book will
know what great support your family has given to the
library!

is a great way to honor your child and help our library! If you have
